That's what Company of Heroes 2 would have you believe at any rate, with a flashy new engine and a great deal of clamour presenting its conflict. Has anyone set up a progression of single-player skirmish maps that depict some overarching campaign? So first question, what are the best "realism" mods available that favor slower & more strategic/deliberate gameplay? I've just gotten the Wikinger mod but am not sure what other ones are worth checking out. Good game, but more a typical RTS in most ways.īut I do see a more realistic strategy game lurking under the hood, with the right modding it could really work. I got CoH2 hoping for a more tactical & historical squad-based game along the lines of the old Close Combat series - obviously COH2 isn't quite that. ![]()
